This is a big but balanced effort that should reward mid to longer-term cellaring

I suspect that this will ultimately come together with 5-ish or so years of bottle age but it’s not clear that it will ultimately surpass either the Bâtard or the Chevalier

There is excellent detail and precision to the intense middleweight flavors that are shaped by relatively refined tannins on the youthfully austere and sneaky long finale. I like the balance and the overall quality makes this worth taking a look at.
