There is enough wood present to warrant commenting on though it’s not enough to endanger the clear expression of the pretty red cherry
and very focused and harmonious on the finish
almost exotic
focused and intensely mineral-inflected large-scaled flavors evidence controlled power and a sleek muscularity before terminating in an explosive and palate saturating finish of genuinely stunning length
Vougeraie, Batard Montrachet Vintage:2016 There is enough wood present(from the Chassagne side). Once again very firm reduction buries the underlying fruit. On the plus side there is outstanding concentration to the bigger and richer broad shouldered flavors that coat the palate with dry extract while flashing excellent length on the focused, linear and sneaky long finish.
