These used to be plentiful, but this is only the third example we have had in over 10 years! This bayonet was designed for the Lee Enfield No. 5 MkI Jungle Carbine, which had a large flash hider that prevented earlier bayonets from fitting. The bayonet was also used with the 9 mm Sterling L2 submachine gun. This is totally original British Military production and is marked N79, the dispersal code for Viners Limited.
