The cockade measures 2 1 8 x 2 1 4 and features an outstanding sterling or sterling plated Engineer button by a Madrid, Spain maker mark on the back. These cockades were coveted by Americans as war souvenirs and were often taken by American officers. Captured items from the Spanish
