This particular example may very well have been captured at the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801 when Nelson's Fleet captured huge quantities of Danish Weapons and Stores which were subsequently auctioned off as War Booty in London

Colt eventually produced a version of the BAR for the commercial market and foreign adoption of the weapon ensued

The Silver band was hallmarked by George Loveridge and Co with a likely date of 1912 given the hallmarks, putting it in the WWI Era. The cane measures about 36 long and has had a rubber stopper put
