The background is that Captain Cuthbert Robert Buckle was the master of H. M. S. CRACKER, and he retired a Commander in 1875. After his service he sailed commercial vessels to South America from Liverpool. The brass framed photograph, probably hand colored, measures 6 1 2" tall by 5"
